FACE THE TEMPTATION

"Blessed is the man that endure temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. " JAMES 1:12

What should we do when we against the temptation? Whether it's temptation of carnality, interested to do the sin, etc. In the process of formation of character and faith, we will face temptations contrary to his word. eg, the urge to cheat because they want to get good grades. The urge to cocky because he wanted to be respected. The urge to do free sex for longer trendy. We as young people with easy to do things that lead to sin. For that we must be strong and self-control. James has tips to overcome temptation when it comes:

1. Remember the crown for the winner (James 1:12)

God promises the crown of life for people who love the Lord. That is for people who chose to resist temptation and make the word of God. Crown of life is the power and authority to reign with Christ in eternity future. The crown is a beautiful treasure and the best that we will dedicate to the glory of God.

2. Source of temptation is not from God (James 1:13)

I wonder why if someone is having temptation must always tell you that temptation comes from God? Actually no! The influx is the temptation of our own desires. Sin occurs when fulfill that desire with motive, means, and goals that contrary to his word. When someone is tempted, he must not say "being tempted by God!" The reason, because God is never the slightest about to plunge us into sin. The temptation is come from our own desires.
